Strawberry Ice Cream and Exotic Rum Raisin Ice Cream
Description:
A chilled refreshment of homemade strawberry ice cream with fresh strawberry and base custard and exotic rum flavor in the rum raisin ice cream.

Strawberry Ice-cream: for 8 cups
fresh strawberries
Fresh strawberries: 400 gm
Granulated sugar: 100 gm
Strawberry puree: 100 gm
1 recipe of Vanilla base custard (without a vanilla bean.)
Note: vanilla ice cream base is an ice cream base custard for all the ice creams.
Make the vanilla custard and keep aside, for. Clean and chop the fresh strawberries and put in a saucepan and boil it on medium heat till the mixture thickens about 8 to 10 minutes. Add the mixture into vanilla custard together with strawberry puree and mix it constantly until it comes to room temperature.
Transfer the mixture in the ice cream container, cover it and refrigerate until completely frozen. And enjoy the fresh homemade strawberry ice cream.
Rum- Raisin Ice cream: for 6 Cups
Note: vanilla ice cream base is a ice cream base custard for all the ice creams.
1 recipe of vanilla custard base
Rum: 200ml
Raisins: 200gm
Heat the rum around 60 add the raisins in it and keep aside, cover it and leave it for overnight raisins, absorbing the rum. Except for rum, you can use also a Rum essence no need to heat the essence.
Make a vanilla base custard bring it to room temperature gradually add the soaked raisins and rum and mix it properly.
Transfer the mixture in the ice cream container, cover it and refrigerate until completely cold.
